Leading south Midlands PR specialist betterpr has been short-listed for a second award in recent months.

At its first attempt, betterpr is the only Midlands-based PR agency to reach the finals of the prestigious Chartered Institute of Public Relations’ Excellence Awards 2007 in the ‘Outstanding Small Consultancy’ category.

The Awards are open to PR agencies throughout the UK. Only an elite few from the Midlands have ever been short-listed, but there are no winners yet.

Head of betterpr, Juliet Betterton said: “Following our recent success at the CIPR’s PRide Awards, we are delighted to have gone one better and be recognised nationally for what we achieve on behalf of our clients. We are competing against a number of London agencies for this prestigious award.

“We have built the business over the last 11 years by delivering measurable results. We’re recognised by our peers for persuasive copywriting skills, the ability to gain outstanding media coverage and representing a wide range of business types.

“In the last 12-months we have built our capacity to work with a greater number of Midlands-based companies who recognise and benefit from our expertise.”

The UK winner for Outstanding Small Consultancy 2007 will be announced on 3 July at an event in London.
